Best part of the week: I have been soooo busy this week! I went from being bored and unemployed last week to super busy and semi-employed! I had a meeting on Monday that led to a contract position, I’ve been working with a brand to help with their social media and website launch happening soon, I’ve been working a few graphic design projects, and I’ve been trying to do research about how I can keep this hustle going for as long as possible!

Worst part of the week: I’ve never been someone that handles change all that gracefully. I deal with it and do the best that I can but when big changes happen in my life it takes me a little while to adjust. Going from zero to a gazillion was great for the most part and I’m super grateful for all the work I’ve been doing but it made for a bit of a challenging week emotionally. Sometimes I was way up, feeling great, lovin’ the hustle and 5 minutes later I was feeling overwhelmed, inadequate, under-qualified, and stressed. I know it’s all part of the process and I’ve always been a big feeler but the emotional rollercoaster definitely got in my way a bit this week.

Something I’m grateful for: All the work! I’m so so grateful for the people that I’m doing work for. I’m three weeks out of a one year program that I didn’t even know I was interested in until this time last year. These people are giving me a chance to build a portfolio, network with industry people, and learn so much and for their belief in me I will be forever grateful!

Something I’m excited for: I can’t even begin to tell you how exciting this whole thing is feeling (well give me five minutes and maybe I’ll feel differently…)! It’s always been my goal to work for myself. While I’m not totally there yet, I’m well on my way. This may not be my situation forever - I’m still applying for full and part time jobs - but it’s my situation right now and I am excited about how this current situation of mine is setting me up for the future.

Ps the pictures from above were taken a week and a bit ago at the Abbotsford Tulip Festival. If you’re interested in checking it out I highly recommend it! It was so beautiful, smelled so great, and the people watching is top notch!
