Road trip Part 1

A couple of weeks ago Brittney and I went on a somewhat spontaneous road trip.  We knew we were going to go south and probably as far down as San Francisco but we didn't know where we were going to stay or what we were going to do.  This was the first time I'd ever done a trip with so little structure.  And I loved it! 

When we arrived in our first destination, Portland, we stopped at a Starbucks to look up hotels in the area.  We used Hotwire for the entire trip and booked each hotel the night before.  We spent the rest of the day wandering around the city stopping at some of our favourite stores and taking pictures of the super funky buildings.  Once we got to our hotel we started planning.  After much hmmm-ing and haaa-ing, we decided we were going to make the trek all the way down to LA to ensure some sun and maybe even some heat...
